2 years on...

Yes we disappeared, yes we were put off by the organised guys, yes we are ashamed!

NO MORE!!!!!!

We have no one to race with, no carts at the moment and no idea of where to go. Is that going to put us off, no sir it is not. Now other fads and ideas have passed it is time to focus on really getting the UKIGRF going. This may take weeks, it may take months but there is light at the end of the tunnel, we just don't know how long that tunnel is right now.

We will keep this page updated with how things are progressing, no planned races yet but then there is no point in posting those until we have at least one cart built but rest assured, WE ARE COMMITTED!!!!

6. Rubbing is Racing rule changes.

Due to much debate and concern on the UKGSA forums the decision has been taken to remove the 'Rubbing is racing' rule. Please see the rules for the update.

It all kicks off on UKGSA.org

We decided to spread the word and post on the UKGSA forum, see link. I guess it was expected there would be opposition to us but hey, its always fun having a little debate, why not join in and support us ;)

Lindley Drop

Our first track has been decided upon and race date set! March 27th 2011 sees the first race for the UK.I.G.R.F and we cant wait.

As we are a new group we are always looking for new racers as well as volunteers to help out on the day. Any budding camera men should also join in the fun, how else is everyone supposed to look in on the action?

Make sure you check out the video and keep coming back for updates, rules and further race information.

The UKIGRF is born!

After spending many hours enjoying the videos and blogs of fellow gravity racers, the AIGRF, I decided it was time to bring this form of gravity racing to the UK. Sure there are other clubs and society's to which you could belong but none capture the fun factor of the 'illegal' groups dotted around the world.

A group of people who are not bound by technical rules and regulations, who simply want to meet up and race together, share stories of builds, crashes, overtaking manoeuvres and then relive them for the following months.

Over the coming months the aim of this blog is to build awareness and hopefully a group of racers that can enjoy shackle free gravity racing.
